they hop around daintily
their beaks peck the ground
like typebars striking blank pages
they’re cute
adorable even 
and so dirty
filled with parasites
evolving in waste
blending in with gutter butts
and gum splatter
don’t touch them, they’re dirty pigeons
filthy dirty pigeons
such gorgeous birds
